Possible causes logon failure

Question:

I get the following error when trying to transfer a file:
FCOPY-E-NETLOGIN, remote login failed on node 128.100.192.3
-SYS-E-ERRMSG, Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.
What does it mean?

Answer:

Ensure that the username / password combination provided are valid on the target node (in this example, 128.100.192.3)
If the user is not a domain user, do not user the -domain= qualifier or leave the domain field blank in the FASTCopy Console GUI (graphical user interface). If the user is a domain user, add the -domain= to the command line or fill in the domain field in the FASTCopy Console GUI.
