"Invalid user context" error

Question:

I get the following error when trying to connect to an Executor using the FASTCopy Console or SoftLink Active Monitor:
Remote error:
GQS-E-SECURITY, security check failed
-GQS-E-SECURITY, invalid user context
What does it mean?

Answer:

Invalid user context indicates an incorrect username / password combination on the Executor that you are trying to connect to. The Executor is the machine indicated in the drop down box beside the Connect to: field when the FASTCopy Console or Active Monitor is started. Ensure that the username / password are a valid username / password for the Executor in question.
If the user is not a domain user leave the domain field blank in the FASTCopy Console GUI (graphical user interface). If the user is a domain user, fill in the domain field in the FASTCopy Console GUI with the appropriate domain.
