Uninstalling FASTCopy/FASTLogic on UNIX
Question:
How do I uninstall FASTLogic (and FASTCopy) off a Unix machine?
Answer:
The FASTLogic installation places an "uninstall" script at the default place of /usr/flogic/bin. You MUST run the script from a directory different than the software's directory itself. Issue the command:
>./usr/flogic/bin/uninstall
Answer the "MAKE SURE" question with an affirmative response and uninstallation will commence.
Note that the uninstall script requires the file "/usr/flogic/flogic_profile" as a reference to the flogic installation log. If this file is missing or was modified in any way uninstallation will not proceed correctly.
In order to upgrade an existing copy of flogic, no uninstallation is required. Simply initiate the installation of the new version over the existing one. This way you will ensure that existing licenses remain effective under the new install as well.
