"License with no signature" error

Question:

I received the error:

FCOPY-E-LICERR, license error encountered
-LICENSE-E-NOSIG, license with no signature

What does it mean?

Answer:

Each license begins with a signature, such as [4SQVRR-OO0B0E-UPN5D9], which is unique to each license. Ensure that the original license supplied by SoftLink Support was not modified in any way and includes the original signature. In particular, ensure that there are no blank lines at the beginning of the license file.

On Windows machines licenses are found by default in:
C:\Program Files\SoftLink\Licenses\lic_*.* (FASTCopy V2.65 and higher, FEST V2.1 and higher)
C:\Program Files\SoftLink\lic_*.* (All other versions)

On UNIX machines, licenses are found by default in:
/usr/flogic/license/lic_* (FASTCopy V2.65 and higher)
/usr/flogic/lic_* (All other versions)
